SSC Provider Training and Trainer of Trainers

Training to become a qualified provider is available upon request. 

Required preparations for SSC program delivery include:

  • Familiarity with and/or training in manual-guided treatment programs
  • Thorough familiarity and study of the key concepts, content, exercises and worksheets of each SSC session before session delivery
  • Thorough familiarity with and study of the support material for each session in Section IV of the Provider's Guide

The SSC Training Workshop has two components:

  • Training of Providers: to learn how to deliver the SSC program. Workshop participants must meet the qualifications for the delivery of alcohol and other drug ( AOD) services within their agency, county, state, or jurisdiction in which they will deliver SSC.
  • Training of Trainers (TOT):  Those who have already completed the three day SSC Provider Training and have presented all SSC sessions may attend this workshop to complete the necessary training for training SSC providers within their respective agencies.

Also includes:
PACE Monitor: A portion of the training will introduce the Provider’s Handbook for Assessing Criminal Conduct and Substance Abuse Clients, Progress and Change Evaluation (PACE) Monitordesigned to evaluate the initial status and change process of SSC clients.
