Indicating essential reading for evel 1 business and management modules and recommended for leve 2. Like: good examples from world of sport and wel explained concepts, frameworks and theories. Dislike: still need specialist texts for dissertations eg: PR, however, a good introduction book! I've been teaching topic for many years now, this text is not suitable for Masters. Good for other qualifications listed though and very well written.

A slight recycling of previous texts, but was written in an engaging and accessible manner to offer a good compliment for students against more detailed texts.

Up to date, student friendly, clearly set out. 'Activities' and 'Reflection points' were very useful.

The text is concise and topical but I think the material on consumer behaviour needs to be developed, in particular with all the recent material about the significance of the experience economy. May I suggest another text is required on the consumer experience of sport and leisure?

Liked the UK focus .. too many books are US based.
Would have like to have seen more case studies
Felt it focused on corporate sports marketing and would have liked to have seen more coverage of public sector and third sector marketing of their events and services
New sports media an afterthought .. could do with a whole chapter. A good basic text though

Concise and easy to read. Relevant and topical.

It isn't a suitable text at the moment due to the course portfolio and module options currently available but some courses are due for revalidation and a marketing option may be incorporated into the programme or within specific modules. If this was the case then i would definitely recommend the text as essential reading.
It is easy to read but thorough and has relevant and challenging learning activities within each chapter.

Clear- does not over-complicate the issue

A comprehensive text which concisely outlines key techniques for effective sports marketing.
