The book adopts an easy to read format and addresses the key tenets of marketing but applies it well to the sports managmetn discipline. the growth in on line or e-marketing for sports businesses could have been prominant
I like the reflection points and learning activities.I think the writing is very small and will be difficult for some of our stuednts with specific educaitonal needs to access.
Comprehensive with easily accessible reading. It has all the main topics with some interesting case studies, useful learning activities and diagrams to support theory for final year undergraduates.
A good indication of the essential elements relating to students who have a limited knowledge of the subject area.

This is a simple to text book to follow, even for those that are not from a marketing background. It is well laid out and is an excellent introduction to sport marketing at undergraduate level.
Clear- does not over-complicate the issue
It isn't a suitable text at the moment due to the course portfolio and module options currently available but some courses are due for revalidation and a marketing option may be incorporated into the programme or within specific modules. If this was the case then i would definitely recommend the text as essential reading.It is easy to read but thorough and has relevant and challenging learning activities within each chapter.

Liked the UK focus .. too many books are US based.Would have like to have seen more case studiesFelt it focused on corporate sports marketing and would have liked to have seen more coverage of public sector and third sector marketing of their events and services New sports media an afterthought .. could do with a whole chapter. A good basic text though
The text is concise and topical but I think the material on consumer behaviour needs to be developed, in particular with all the recent material about the significance of the experience economy. May I suggest another text is required on the consumer experience of sport and leisure?
Up to date, student friendly, clearly set out. 'Activities' and 'Reflection points' were very useful.
A slight recycling of previous texts, but was written in an engaging and accessible manner to offer a good compliment for students against more detailed texts.
Indicating essential reading for evel 1 business and management modules and recommended for leve 2. Like: good examples from world of sport and wel explained concepts, frameworks and theories. Dislike: still need specialist texts for dissertations eg: PR, however, a good introduction book! I've been teaching topic for many years now, this text is not suitable for Masters. Good for other qualifications listed though and very well written.
