"This is an excellent book...It is straight-forward, authoritative and a valuable resource both in education and practice"- Lecturer, University of Birmingham
Easy to use good guide book to support practice teaching.
Great handbook when have
ing a student on placement to refer to and guide you
The book provides excellent source of the knowledge and good practice when working with students as a Practice Educator. Book itself helped me to develop as a PE and also gave me great understanding of my role and support for further development. It is not recommended for students as the book is addressed to PE, who are supporting students to gaine their practice in the social work field.
Well laid out and accessible text which is excellent for Practice Educators although now out of date with the PCF and SoP's not mentioned however still very useful reference.
An accessible introduction, especially helpful for those new to the role.
Very useful for me as a Practice Educator when I am stuck with moving a student on in his/her thinking
Really useful book , well written and accessible.
I like everything! A brilliant book for onsite supervisors and practice educators. I recommend it as a key text on Introductoin to Practice Education which they attend (key training before PLO begins). I will also recommend it to those doing stage 1 and stage 2 Practice Teachign Award.
Not practical enough. Misses key info such as retention of info in adult learning theory. Also not updated with PCF
