This book gives a good background to current policy and practice in safeguarding. It is written at the appropriate level for students and gives anumber of exercises for students to complete. It is wideranging in content and discusses relevant problems and issues which prepares the student for practice. Thank you
I found this book a useful addition to safeguarding children education programmes. I particulary liked the concept of 'poverty and social exclusion' and also the chapter on domestic abuse and its' effects on children. The use of exercises based on practice is a really good addition to teaching this difficult area
