I was a kindergarten teacher in Finland in the 1990’s, where our small rural setting offered outdoor environment experiences for the children every day. This book reminds me of those glorious times in the forest around the open fire. Sara Knight gathers together her expertise about Forest School practices and outdoor learning. This new edition offers an insight into outdoor learning through several case studies, discussion points, pictures and further readings. I find the book exciting and believe it offers a valuable reading experience for all early years’ practitioners.
