Interviews with real nurses in each of the fields of practice gives you an important view into the real world of nursing.
- The revised third edition includes a new chapter on being a nursing student, with student tips and stories
- Updated with, and linked to, the new NMC Standards and Essential Skills Clusters for degree-level education
- Activities, case studies and scenarios helps you apply theory to practice
- Particularly suitable for first-year students and those applying to pre-registration programmes
This book is part of the Transforming Nursing Practice Series, the first series of books designed to help students meet the requirements of the NMC Standards and Essential Skills Clusters for the new degree programmes.
this is a foundational book that is easily accessible for students, well worth a look
Excellent, clear and concise. Very useful to demonstrate links to current learning at FE level and nursing requirements and future learning.
Recommended text with relevant theory and practice materials for our degree nursing students
This is a must for our tutorials and UCAS applications - many students are gaining a better insight from what is expected of them at university.
A relevant book that students can use to understand nursing theory and practice
This is a great text. Be ideal for people thinking of entering a career in nursing... Not for people in nursing
A really good textbook to introduce the broader context of nursing to students.
This is a really good learning tool for the students working towards a degree in Nursing, whether that is pre registration or post registration, undergrad or post grad. The case studies are thought provoking and relate well to clinical practice. The activities make the reader become active in the learning and they have to go beyond what is provided in the text of the book.
essential read for the students to support academic writing particularly around care planning and models / theories and how theory and practice are integrated
An excellent book for the prospective & current nursing student as it focusses on all the relevant issues in the nursing programme. Good links to NMC standards & Essential Skills clusters providing context for learning. Welcome addition of the student experience in the latest edition.
