Good for first year students
I have not read any thing quite as good as this for some time. Carol Hall has captured her valuable insight into nursing in practice, her words are invaluable to those who are seeking to understand the social and professional world of nursing.
This is a good book for nursing students, it is set out well and is easy to understand. This book also covers how to apply for a job once qualified as a nurse. The sections detailing which NMC standards and Essential Skills clusters are met is very useful. I would recommend this book to both students and Lecturers
A good resource for those interested in nursing as it explores what it means to be a nurse so helps potential students in the decision if this is the right pathway for them. I recommend this to potential candidates at open days and initial enquiries. The new chapter on tips for students is excellent
This book has an easy read and logical format for new first year students to gain an insight into the world of nursing. With case studies and scenarios making it more real for the students.
as it is linked for the new domains of nursing it is also a useful additional reading for new mentors undertaking their mentorship qualification or mentors linked to universities that are just undertaking the new degree course and are unfamiliar with the new domains
