Tom Caygill Nottingham Trent University, UK

Dr Tom Caygill is a Senior Lecturer in Politics at Nottingham Trent University, specialising in British politics and parliamentary studies. His research examines parliamentary committees as well as the law/policy making process, with particular emphasis on pre- and post-legislative scrutiny. He is the author of a number of journal articles and reports exploring post-legislative scrutiny in the UK and Scottish Parliaments. He has worked closely with the Scottish Parliament as an academic fellow, studying how post-legislative scrutiny operates and the difference it can make.
