Bringing Poetry Alive, Social Research, doing Visual Research - Scanned all three - all the books are excellent, I 'broadcast' through dialogue Leaning Matters wherever I can. Started reading 'Visual Research' - really excellent.
Topics cover relevant aspects to the management course. E.g, theory, leadership/management definition, teamwork, legal requirements. Text is very accessible to all students.
Case studies and reflective tasks are useful for class discussion excercises. EYP standards are not used in N.I but do not detract from relevance and usefulness of book.
Easy to read, tasks included are helpful. Book would be more suited to students with more work experience, hence why I have included as recommended reading.

This book is an excellent teaching resource for level 3 students. It will be very useful next year particularly for:

CPD
Parent partnerships
Straight forward for learners to read and makes the links between theory and practice.
Reflective tasks and case studies are always helpful.
I really like the format of these books - clear and easy to read; good for dipping into. Ther case studies offer guidance and fully explain the ideas discussed. The reflective tasks are valuable and direct students well.
