Dr. Matthew Gammons was nominated by AMSSM. He is the primary care sports physician at the Killington Medical Clinic and the Vermont Orthopaedic Clinic where he currently works with patients incurring a variety of sports-related injuries from concussions through torn ACLs. He is also serving as a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard teams. Dr. Gammons has served as a peer reviewer for American Family Physician, Journal of Family Practice, and Family Practice Management. In 2006, he won the Harry Galanty Young Investigators Award for Outstanding Research from the AMSSM. Prior to moving to Vermont, Dr. Gammons served on the faculty of the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he still serves as Assistant Clinical Professor.
