It is easy to be paralyzed by the possibilities and responsibilities of academic work or distracted into one fascinating alley after another without cumulative insight. This is a good guide for fledgling researchers looking to get published. I would encourage final year students to read this prior to submitting dissertations.

This is one of the best books available for helping to write a research paper at a higher education level. It helps you understand how to put it together and what is needed. Doing the exercises in her book will enable a researcher to define which conversation a research paper joins, detail how the paper extends the conversation, and provides background information for readers not familiar with the conversation to follow the paper. In sum, this book is particularly valuable for those who want to distill the nuts and bolts of defining research contribution.
