Therapy for any childhood disorders is the key that enables the child to make meaningful contact with his world. This is an excellent book for parents, teachers, therapists and post-graduate students in psychology and education to know about all therapies available and provides practical examples of activities that could be included in a therapy program. A must read for everyone that has the privilege to be part of the journey of a child diagnosed with autism.
This is a very easy to comprehend book which has assisted my students in their study into Autism.
For the Psychology student it contains detailed and accurate information and portrays suitable and recognised interventions.
The information is clear and extremely useful for tutors (experienced and inexperienced) working with students on the Autistic Spectrum.

This is a particularly useful book as it clearly explains the range of issues impacting on people with autism and their careers, and for social work practtioners. All students should be made aware of thsi book, particularly in preparation for placment.
This was a helpful book with the stated aim of promoting a healthy scepticism in the readers about interventions for Autism. It covers a range of potential interventions and provides a critique of the evidence for and against. This generally comes across as objective and well-balanced. There is little mention of the high levels of co-morbidity of ASD and intellectual disability and how interventions might need to be adapted (or not) in light of this. For this reason I would not suggest the book as core reading.

This book offers an insight into the treatments and interventions for ASD. It is concise, clear and objective.
