Sally Dowling is an Associate Professor in Health Professions Education, working in Bristol Medical School at the University of Bristol, England, UK. She has a background in mental health nursing, sexual health advising and public health and has taught health professionals at the Open University and the University of the West of England, Bristol. She currently teaches on the Health Professions Education and Undergraduate Medicine programmes at the University of Bristol and co-leads the MSc Reproduction and Development. Sally has taught research methods to undergraduate and postgraduate students, in addition to supervising doctoral students. Her own research has primarily been about infant feeding; she has published widely in this area, including the co-edited volume, Social experiences of breastfeeding: building bridges between research, policy and practice (Policy Press). Sally lives in Bristol and has three adult daughters.
