Ineke Stoop Independent Researcher, Netherlands
Before her retirement in 2019, Ineke Stoop was the Head of Methodology at The Netherlands Institute for Social Research, a government agency which conducts research into the social aspects of all areas of government policy. She was also a Deputy Director of Methodological of the European Social Survey and the Chair of the European Statistical Advisory Committee.
Dr Stoop obtained her PhD in social sciences from Utrecht University for a thesis on survey nonresponse. She has taught courses on nonresponse, survey design, and comparative surveys; and has authored articles, chapters, and books on the same topics. In 2018, she was a coeditor of a Wiley monograph titled Advances on Comparative Survey Methodology.
