SAGE Publishing extends partnership with EBSCO Information Services to expand distribution of its journals portfolio

SAGE Publishing today announces an expanded partnership with EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) to broaden the availability of SAGE’s journals portfolio to North American public, corporate, medical, and other special libraries. With this partnership, EBSCO will begin selling SAGE’s journal packages and collections, which are housed on the recently relaunched SAGE Journals platform. SAGE will continue to partner with EBSCO for journal and e-package subscriptions in the academic markets globally as well.

SAGE publishes more than 1,000 journals spanning the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Science, Technology, and Medicine. Nearly 250 titles are ranked in the top 30% of the 2015 Journal Citation Reports® (Thomson Reuters, 2016), and 55% are ranked within the top half of their subject category. SAGE publishes on behalf of and in association with more than 400 scholarly societies.

EBSCO Information Services’ Executive Vice President Sam Brooks said EBSCO has large sales teams that will work with SAGE to introduce more librarians to SAGE journal packages and collections.  “By working together SAGE and EBSCO will be able to provide more libraries with access to SAGE’s valuable journals.”
