Letter from David L. Morgan

“I am greatly looking forward to being the Series Editor for SAGE’s Qualitative Research Methods series. From here on out, the “little blue books” will feature more colorful covers, but they will maintain the same strong tradition of addressing the needs of qualitative researchers. In particular, we will continue to publish books that provide practical guidance and assistance for collecting and analyzing qualitative data. A key characteristic of the Qualitative Research Methods Series is an emphasis on both a “why to” a “how-to” perspective, so that readers will understand the purposes and motivations behind a method, as well as the practical and technical aspects of using that method. As editor, I will maintain our emphasis on highlighting essential issues in qualitative research, both by extending our ongoing line of books and by recruiting new books that bring additional voices into our field.”
