SAGE Publishing to partner with the Australian National University to publish Federal Law Review

October 25, 2018

SAGE Publishing, in partnership with the Australian National University (ANU), is to begin publishing the journal the Federal Law Review (FLR). The first SAGE issue will be released in March 2019.

Published since 1964 by the ANU College of Law, the FLR is recognised as one of Australia’s leading academic law journals. It is rated A* by the Australian Research Council (i.e. among the top 5% in the world). The quarterly journal specialises in all matters of federal law, including the analysis of legal and policy questions relating to the nature of federalism, both in Australia and internationally.

FLR General Editor Ron Levy commented:

“The FLR is a leading academic law journal in Australia. By founding this new relationship with SAGE we will have the opportunity to develop our international distribution. This in turn will allow us to set more ambitious goals and aims for the journal in the future.”

Mia Stone, the FLR’s Publication Officer, added:

“We are excited to be working with SAGE. SAGE is a publisher with a strong global presence and we believe the new partnership will extend the journal’s already significant readership and reputation.”

Miranda Nunhofer, Vice President, Humanities and Social Science Journals, SAGE, commented:

“SAGE has always been devoted to supporting new approaches to research and helping academics have access to a wide variety of resources. Since 1964 the FLR has provided researchers with new perspectives on issues of federal law, publishing regional and international research in the field. We look forward to working with the FLR and the ANU from 2019.”
