A useful guide for those returning to education or who are new to assignment writing.
Fab, fab, fab book - this is what I have been waiting for since introduction of new PTLLS course. Really helpful book, written at the correct level to help learners especially those who have been away from education for a long time.
Useful for practitioners who are delivering PTLLS. Has been used by established teachers and IQA staff to help with clarification of PTLLS learning outcomes and to provide guidance to learners
Other similar books (esp by Susan Wallace) were more useful for PTLLS students

Another good 'Ann Gravells' book. Each of the qualification criteria is covered with suggestions of what needs to be done to achieve level three or level four.

It's a great re-write of an already good book that helps new educators get the essential aspects of their PTLLS assessment into scope. Great style and tone in the writing.

This update to the PTLLS stable is an excellent support resource for those undertaking the PTLLS qualification. There are clear focus areas and this will greatly assist those who require some direction with completing their assignments. The prompts are relevant and will steer learners towards appropriate answers, whether at Level 3 or 4. A recommended read for those undertaking the qualification and also as a tutor resource.
This book would supplement the teaching aspect of the PTLLS course delivered and offer a step by step guide and structure to pass the qualification.
Overall a very helpful book targetted at the new assignments. Helpful advice is given and students are encouraged to think through the practicalities of the underpinning theory as well as simply get through the qualification assessments. I feel it would be helpful to have this book and the companion volume "Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector" by the same author merged into a single coherent volume."
My inspection copy is available to students in the classroom. As a result several of them have purchased copies to help them with their assignments.

Not a very useful book. It is better for learners at this level to read a wider range of books in order to write assignments.
