Energy Exploration & Exploitation is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that provides up-to-date, informative reviews and original articles on important issues in the exploration, exploitation, use and economics of the world’s energy resources.

Readers are able to keep abreast of advances and activities in many disciplines covering the full range of the energy industries. Contributions cover:

  • Crude and heavy oils, oil sands, shale oils and natural gas.
  • Coal and coal conversion to liquid and gas products.
  • Nuclear fuels, electricity and renewable energies.
  • Exploration and exploitation of fossil fuels and uranium.
  • Resource development, case histories of new fields, opportunities and prospects.
  • Reviews of energy company activities.
  • Environmental impact of exploration, development and use, together with waste management.
  • Periodical reviews of major energy topics.

The journal utilizes a single-anonymized peer review process in which the reviewer’s name and information is withheld from the author.
