Janina Wildfeuer is Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Information Studies in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. She teaches classes in multimodal, interdisciplinary, and applied linguistics, and she conducts research on film, TV series, comics, social media, and other multimodal texts within several projects combining linguistics, semiotics, communication and media studies. She has published several monographs, edited collections as well as peer-reviewed papers on the analysis of multimodal artifacts and the notion of multimodal discourse.
