SAGE partners with the International and American Associations for Dental Research to launch JDR Clinical & Translational Research

October 20, 2015

SAGE is pleased to launch JDR Clinical & Translational Research in partnership with the International and American Associations for Dental Research (IADR/AADR). Publishing dental, oral, and craniofacial research at the interface of discovery science and clinical application, this new publication is a resource for researchers, clinician scientists, patients, and policymakers in the dental community. Dr. Jocelyne Feine, professor at McGill University Faculty of Dentistry, Montréal, QC, Canada, is the inaugural editor of JDR Clinical & Translational Research.

Since 2012, the IADR/AADR’s flagship publication, Journal of Dental Research, has published clinical supplements to address the influx of research and scholarship that expand the understanding of the challenges of the dental, oral, and craniofacial sciences. Building on the success of these supplements, JDR Clinical & Translational Research will provide an expanded outlet for publishing clinical and translational research. In addition to the more common methodologies and study designs used in oral health research, JDR Clinical & Translational Research will accept qualified reports on qualitative, mixed methods, health services, health technology assessment, and participatory research studies.

"As scientists, we are responsible for doing as much as we can to translate our results to those who will use the information to improve health," said Editor Jocelyne Feine. "I am pleased that JDR Clinical & Translational Research will provide an opportunity for IADR members and scientists to reach practitioners and the public, and quickly impact oral health."

With the addition of JDR Clinical & Translational Research, IADR/AADR provides another high-quality resource for critical research in oral health,” commented Bob Howard, Vice President of Journals at SAGE. “We look forward to supporting this publication in advancing oral health practices and deepening connections across the dental research community.”
