Dwight Burlingame, co-editor of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, is a professor of philanthropic studies and public and environmental affairs at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). He is a member and former chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Research Council, the author or co-author of eight books, and recently completed Philanthropy in America: A Comprehensive Historical Encyclopedia, published in three volumes by ABC Clio Press, 2004. He previously was vice president for university relations and a professor at Bowling Green State University.
