Established in 1868, the Canadian Pharmacists Journal (CPJ) is the oldest continuously published periodical in Canada. Our mission is to support pharmacists in optimizing patient care by linking knowledge to practice. Our vision is to become a leading journal for the application of research and knowledge into pharmacy practice, facilitating practice change towards patient-centered care.

CPJ is published 6 times per year, with occasional supplements on specific clinical topics. This peer-reviewed journal publishes original research, reviews, commentaries, evidence briefs, clinical practice guidelines and practice tools relating to advancing pharmacy practice towards patient-centred care and improving outcomes. Opinion pieces and descriptions of innovative practice models are also welcome.

CPJ is the official publication of the Canadian Pharmacists Association. CPhA supports pharmacists as leading health professionals in their efforts to advance the profession of pharmacy, optimize medication use and enhance health outcomes for their patients.

This journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The Canadian Pharmacists Association advocates for pharmacists and supports its members to advance the profession and enhance patient outcomes. We see the pharmacist as the health professional whose practice, based on unique knowledge and skills, optimizes medication use and enhances patient outcomes.

Canadian Pharmacists Journal is a peer-reviewed journal indexed in the International Pharmaceutical Abstracts, EMBASE, Scopus, and the Canadian Business Index.
