Dr. Tahir Ali is Professor and Chairman in the Department of Business Administration and Commerce, University of Karachi, Pakistan. After acquiring triple Master degrees- M.Com and M.A-Economics from the University of Karachi, Pakistan and MBA from The International University (Missouri) USA, Prof. Ali earned Ph.D. in Business Administration and Commerce from the University of Karachi, Pakistan (Accredited by WES, USA). He is a learned Professor of Strategic Marketing and Management and is known for his unique method of teaching and guiding research studies. He has been supervising MS& Ph.D. dissertations for the last ten years. Prof. Ali has distinct exposure and experience of business and economic activities of East and West and most of his research studies focus on comparison between developed and emerging economies of the world. During the past ten years, Dr. Ali had presented 15 research papers in International conferences, 10 in the US, including one at the Harvard University Campus and others in the UK, India and Pakistan. Prof. Ali has over 25 research publications in the journals of international repute, most of which are published in the United States. Five of his research publications have received Best Paper awards from the American Academy of Business Cambridge, USA and Applied Business and Entrepreneurship Association International, USA, including one comprehensive global research study conducted on three continents (Asia, Europe & North America), co-authored bytwo Professors in USA and Switzerland. Dr. Ali is Editorial member of many local and international journals, including South Asian Journal of Business and Management Cases and Fellow Member of Global Strategic Management Inc. USA. In business consultation he has mainly been engaged with projects of advertising, product innovation, marketing strategies, motivation and leadership in local and multinational corporations, while business education focuses on development of research proposal and dissertation writing.
