Susan Ainsworth University of Melbourne, Australia

Susan Ainsworth is a Professor in Organization Studies in the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne, Australia.  She has taught human resource management, organizational ethics, organizational behaviour, diversity and inclusion and management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in universities for over twenty–five years.  Before becoming an academic, Susan worked in industrial relations, equal employment opportunity and human resource management in public and private sector organizations.

Her research interests also include gender, age, disability and employment; discourse and public policy; work-based identities; HR and ethics; and the impact of new technologies on work. She is an internationally recognized expert in organizational communication, qualitative methods, and workforce diversity. She has published in leading international journals including Organization Studies, the Journal of Business Ethics, Organization, Human Resource Management Journal, Industrial Relations: A Journal of Economy and Society and Human Relations. She is on the editorial boards of the journals Organization Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Theory and Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management.
