Prescott C. Ensign Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada
Prescott C. Ensign, Ph.D. is a professor at Wilfrid Laurier University. He has served on the faculties of state universities in California and Ohio as well as several universities in Canada. Ensign is a recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship and has received accolades for his contributions to teaching and research. His current research examines economic, community, and social development in remote regions—such as Canada’s far North. Much of this involves the study of market entry and expansion. Projects have included: commercialization of green/clean technologies; integration of scientific know-how when company cultures merge; social networks of entrepreneurs; small firm-large firm cooperation vs. competition; and social entrepreneurship.
