Achieving QTS Series
"Well structured, accessible, focused, a full range of subject-bsed case studies, the content is concise and comprehensively mapped to excellent teaching examples. A great book." (Lecturer, University of Cambridge.)
Appropriate content, clearly structured and written, good applied text for ITE.
User friendly-takes a very holistic view on creativity in primary education. Excellent mix of theory, case studies and reflective task. Perhaps a few more photographs to help illustrate key points? Excellent!.
Useful support for students who lack confidence with this subject area.
Like- setting the scene: of how the book facilitates professional knowledge and understanding against Qs, then outlines chapter content prior to introducing themes/focus. Reflective tasks useful and refer to theory and further reading. Photographs of children working illustrate processes well. Good examples of planning and assessment. Easy to dip in and out of.
A very good, back ground read for students undertaking art teaching in the primary classroom.
