This text has been well received by a diverse range of students and is well structured and easy for the student to follow. The author has set out to make the topic of interest to the student and to be relevant across a range of study areas. I would recommend this text.
Excellent well written book superb for the dissertation
I will strongly recommend this textbook to all dissertation students under my supervision. It is easy to read and contains sensible advice to students.
Good source for students new to research.
Not since Judith Bells' "Doing your research project" has there been a text so helpful to undergraduates.
Accessible, informative and sensible!
A much needed text - already added to the essentail reading list.
A very useful additional resource. Provides the foundations in a clear and accessible format.
Easy to follow and understand, excellent information in an accessible format. Recommended for those students that find it difficult to engage with text.
This book would support my students to get to grips with their dissertation.
This is a brilliant book aimed at the students. I am going to recommend the book to the library and have already shown the book to the students.
The book is an easy straight- through read or a good one to have on stand by for a quick dip into when a specific topic is required. It supports all the key ideas with useful chapter summaries and key texts to explore issues in greater depth. I'm not sure if the illustrations add much value to the work, but I think the chapter summaries are great and will certainly incorporate them into my delivery for equine undergraduate and Masters students.
