This book is very useful for students undertaking the PTLLS course and are new to academic study.

Overall a very helpful book targetted at the new assignments. Helpful advice is given and students are encouraged to think through the practicalities of the underpinning theory as well as simply get through the qualification assessments. I feel it would be helpful to have this book and the companion volume "Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector" by the same author merged into a single coherent volume."

An excellent guide to getting through the PTLLS Assessments that is helpful to students and tutors alike.
My inspection copy is available to students in the classroom. As a result several of them have purchased copies to help them with their assignments.
Not a very useful book. It is better for learners at this level to read a wider range of books in order to write assignments.
