The journal welcomes articles on the prevention, diagnosis and management of all associated disorders in addition to related genetic and epidemiological topics. Therapeutic Advances in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine is an international, open access, peer-reviewed journal which considers manuscripts on the pathophysiology and treatment of diseases affecting the respiratory system and critically ill patients. The journal welcomes articles on the prevention, diagnosis and management of all associated disorders in addition to related genetic and epidemiological topics. A wide range of article types are considered, including original research, methodologies, case reports, reviews, perspectives, editorials and commentaries. Unsolicited article proposals are welcomed. All articles are listed on PubMed and are freely available via PubMed Central.

The journal adheres to a single anonymised review process in which the reviewer's name is routinely withheld from the author unless the reviewer requests a preference for their identity to be revealed. Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two referees. Online publication of articles usually occurs within 3 weeks from acceptance.
