With the expectation that trainees should increasingly demonstrate effective behaviour management, this is a very timely addition to our library. By starting with the "core right" to feel safe, it takes trainees systematically through various chapters with a clear focus to each. The appendices are also user-friendly and save time in what is a busy PGCE year. A welcome new edition!

A very useful book to dip into to understand the strategies and systems for effective management of younger children. It was helpful to the initial teacher particularly on their first placement.
