The chapter summaries are useful for consolidating key points and the clinical case based exercises enable students to apply the clinical theory to practice. It also explores the practical aspects of shared decision making and prescribing in both primary and secondary care. The prescribing for specialist patient groups such as paediatrics and pregnancy are both very useful.
Valuable not just for medical students, for example this book is used on non medical prescribing course as well
Aimed at Phases 3 of the MBBS, I am eager for students to engage with this text which is commensurate with national/GMC policy. The complex nature of prescribing is made simple with the principles and practice easily defined.
This is a comprehensive book on the subject of prescribing for medical students. The chapters are well set out with good use of case studies throughout. I would recommend this book to students of all disciplines as well as those studying non-medical prescribing qualifications
