Children's Rights in Practice is focusing on the participation of children, analysing the concept of allowing children a voice. This will involve considering the current understanding of the term childhood and how this has evolved. The book increases knowledge around the policy and practice including safeguarding and child protection. An excellent book for anyone who works with the children and young people.
Would recommend for national diploma students although it may be too indepth for them. Like the use of examples, reviews and additional reading at the end of each chapter. On a personal level I found different aspects of the book very interesting.

A well written and thought provoking text, and as children's rights are at the heart of the BA Hons Education and Childhood Studies degree, it offers sound ideological underpinning for many modules on the programme.
