Like- clarity of explanations. Layout and presentation- easy to access information. Includes activities. Suggestion- could have more references to theory (especially for CertEd audience.)
This is adopted for the 1st module.
This will be suggested as a supplementary text for the students. The introductory chapter helpfully sets the scene and provides an overview. The key ideas for students to consider are easily signposted.
reasonable set of references at end of each chapter, could have been more substantial or point to other sources.
It is good to have a book for adult students that includes practical examples of assessment, including AP(E)L.
This updated version is as helpful as the original in enabling learners to gain a comprehensive understanding of issues around assessment in Lifelong Learning.
Familiar format, builds on previous editions. The colour of the books is getting a little confusing. Stick to the same colour for assessment just highligh new edition?
A useful addition to resources particularly for Unit 303 of the TAQA award at L3
Clearly presented with opportunities for reflective practice. 'Thoery focus' appears weak - would prefer more indepth theory links.
